Biologists from OSU-Cascades and the High Desert Museum will present a program on a mulit-year experiment testing whether raptors help ravens to access meat and whether ravens help raptors to find carcasses. Matt Orr, assistant professor of biology at OSU-Cascades and Jon Nelson, curator of wildlife at the High Desert Museum, will present this pub.
Food and beverage sales in Father Luke’s Room help support this popular lecture series. Seating is limited, and reservations are recommended.
Talks begin at 7pm, doors open at 5:30pm.
Discover the Cascades under the bright moonlight reflecting off of the white snow, and look for signs of animals in their nocturnal wonderland! Wanderlust Tours runs monthly moonlight snowshoe trips for the few nights surrounding each full moon from November to April.
Exploring with Wanderlust Tours’ renowned naturalist snowshoe guides, tour participants will get away from the light of the city, learn about the constellations, watch for shooting stars and listen for the hush of the nighttime forest of the Cascades.
The U.S. Bank Pole Pedal Paddle is a relay race with six legs that include alpine skiing/snowboarding, cross-country skiing, biking, running, canoeing/kayaking/stand up paddle boarding, and sprinting to the finish! You can do it all yourself or be part of a team (or pair). We invite you to take part in the festivities and enjoy Central Oregon.
Join us for a local farm, ranch and artisan festival to kick off the summer season at The Ranch. Over a dozen local vendors will be on hand sharing local foods, products and services. This family-friendly event will include lawn games and face painting for kids, and live music on the Range patio. Sample a range of local flavors, available to taste, and take home your favorites. Artists from around Crook County will also be in attendance. Additional food and drink available for purchase. This is event is complimentary and open to the public.

The Beer Run finishes at the intersection of Bond St. and Franklin Ave. in the heart of the Bite of Bend festival, under an inflatable arch. Finishers are greeted with – you guessed it – another beer! We sell out, so sign up right away! Registration increases on race day so get in early and spend the savings on a couple beers instead!
