After over two decades of making records, Sheryl Crow has entered a new phase of her recording career with Feels Like Home released in 2013. Her decision to release an all-country project might surprise some, but a closer look at her music suggests that the genre has always been close to her heart. On her 1993 Tuesday Night Music Clubalbum, the closing cut No One Said It Would Be Easy had a country influence as well as her album Wallflower in 2005.

Get ready to also enjoy Sheryl Crow classics If It Makes You Happy, My Favorite Mistake and Every Day Is A Winding Road.

Live Music: Death Cab For Cutie @ Les Schwab Amphitheater

General Admission only. Chairs and blankets are allowed at this concert.

Death Cab For Cutie has announced details of its new studio album. Entitled Kintsugi, the band’s eighth LP (and first since 2011’s Codes and Keys) will arrive in late March 2015.

The album’s title references a “Japanese style of art where they take fractured, broken ceramics and put them back together with very obvious, real gold,” explains DCFC bassist Nick Harmer. “It’s making the repair of an object a visual part of its history.” If you’re wondering, yes, all this is a reference to the recent departure of founding member and producer Chris Walla.

Adds frontman Ben Gibbard, “This is an opportunity for the band to become something it could only become by losing a founding member. It’s our goal to make records that rank amongst the best work we’ve ever done. I completely respect and understand why people love Transatlanticism or We Have the Facts… or Narrow Stairs. And I would hope that as we move forward, people listen with as little prejudice as they can and try to hear the music for what it is and not what they want it to be.”

Built To Spill are gearing up to release their eighth studio album this spring. Warner Bros. confirm to Stereogum that the new album will be titled Untethered Moon, and it will be out in April 2015. This is the band’s first album since 2009’s There Is No Enemy.

Sisters Outdoor Quilt Show’s mission is to educate and inspire the public about the art of quilting and to benefit the school and community groups of Sisters and Central Oregon.  The show began when the founder, Jean Wells Keenan, hung a dozen quilts made by her students outside her quilt shop on a Saturday in July.  A few more ladies brought their quilts to show, then a few more and a few more.  The show became an annual event, hosted by the East of the Cascades quilt guild.  As the show gained in size and popularity it outgrew the resources of the guild.  In 2003, an Executive Director was hired to manage the show and new events were added including the Around the Block Quilt Walk and Fiber Arts Stroll, Wish Upon a Card and other fundraisers for local causes. Walk the streets through Sisters and admire the amazing quilting and small Western town.

Wilco with special guest Speedy Ortiz, Saturday, August 8, 2015.

Wilco have evolved from a country-rock band into an eclectic indie-rock collective that touches on many eras and genres in their music: ‘70s rock, country and folk. As a result, no two Wilco albums sound the same, much to the delight of a fans who embrace the band’s musical adventurism. Led by frontman Jeff Tweedy.

Jeff Tweedy is still trying to break your heart, and he tears it asunder with hushed brevity on Sunloathe, Black Moon and Open Mind, even as he continues his quest for self-exorcism Born Alone. Wilco was nominated for Best Rock Album in 2012 for The Whole Love.
