Special Note: Brasada Trails and our Private Instruction is now closed and will reopen in spring. If you plan to visit us before spring, we are happy to provide transportation to Fly Spur Ranch in Tumalo Falls where our horses spend the winter.

As Equestrian Manager Deb will tell you, there isn't much not to love about horses, from the way they smell to their dispositions. She's been riding since she was five years old, and loves everything about horses including the people who love them.

The Brasada Ranch Equestrian Center offers a full range of instruction for riders of all ages and abilities. Horsemanship 101 is particularly popular with teens and young adults, and encompasses everything you need to know about caring for and riding a horse, including grooming, saddling, mounting and riding. Beginners learn to handle a horse in one of our immaculate round pens, practicing mounting and control until they are completely comfortable.

Traveling as a family? Riders and horses are matched by ability and riders as young as five will love the feel of sitting on a real horse. Safety is always our top priority, and group outings of all varieties are our specialty. Our 35 Tennessee Walker horses are strong, smooth, reliable, experienced, and perfectly suited to introduce your family to the pleasures of Central Oregon horseback riding.

At the intermediate level, Kevin and his wranglers help riders steadily improve skills, testing and increasing ability as they go. Our facilities include heated tack rooms, fine four-stall barns and plenty of high desert trails and plains to challenge man, woman and horse.

Already a pro? Kevin or his top wrangler, Kristen, provide totally authentic experiences to test the limits of your capability. Kristen offers a wide range of advanced training by appointment, covering Western and English riding and specialties like sorting and reining.
