President's Day Weekend at The Ranch

It is always a great idea to take advantage of a long weekend, and we’d love
to see you at The Ranch. Here are just a few of the weekend possibilities:

• Enjoy live music and a special wine tasting Friday night in Ranch House.
• Volcanoes, History and the High Desert: Adventures with Jack:
  
  Join Jack Newkirk – Brasada’s resident naturalist - on a scenic hike through the stunning high desert. Brasada Ranch is nestled up against the flanks of an ancient basaltic outcropping, and every inch of the landscape here holds a story just waiting to be told. Jack’s passion is sharing all the fascinating and fun details about the plants, animals and people who have made this rugged landscape their home over the centuries. Children beware! If you’re not careful, you might actually learn something! Bring sturdy walking shoes and water. And since the views are second to none, you might want to bring a camera as well! Saturday, 10-12p, $20 per guest which includes lunch.
• Falcons, Finches and Flickers: Bird Watching with Jack:
  
  Located on the Pacific Migratory Flyway, Central Oregon proudly showcases hundreds of species of waterfowl, game birds, neotropicals and majestic birds of prey. Jack Newkirk is a treasure trove of information about our native avian species and his enthusiasm and knowledge of all things ornithological are sure to captivate your entire family. Bring sturdy walking shoes, water and binoculars and enjoy the birds of Brasada! Sunday, 8-10a, $10 per guest.
• Enjoy dinner at Ranch House followed by homemade s’mores at one of our fire pits. Top the evening off by borrowing a game from The Hideout and having a family game night back in your cabin.
• Make it a weekend of recreation with skiing at Mt Bachelor in the morning and 18-holes in the afternoon.
