Brasada Ranch was also the first-ever newly constructed resort community in the United States to receive a gold rating from the U.S. Green Building Council’s Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED). The award was bestowed upon The Ranch in recognition of our building The Barn with salvaged wood from an old lumber mill, designing all of our buildings and operations with energy and environmental efficiencies in mind, and forever setting aside half of our land (900 acres) as open space. The core community buildings are heated and cooled by a high-tech ground-source lake loop system tied to the pond on The Ranch’s private, championship golf course.
