HIKING

Central Oregon and Brasada Ranch offer world-class hiking opportunities. Our guests choose from miles of hiking trails within the resort and unlimited beautiful and fabulous trails to explore outside the resort. From Smith Rock State Park to the Badlands to the Deschutes River Trail to the flanks and peaks of the Cascade Range, you could spend the rest of your life hiking Central Oregon and never see it all.

Inside Brasada Ranch

You’ll find miles of paved and un-paved trails to explore right here on Brasada Ranch’s property. Paved trails wind you through the resort, past many beautiful homes, along the Brasada Canyons golf course, and past Brasada Ranch’s many ponds. When you’re ready to explore further, you’ll love Spirit Rock and the many trails to the southeast of the property into the greater Powell Butte area that seem to go on forever. We recommend bringing plenty of water, dressing in layers, and wearing sturdy shoes.

Spirit Rock

Spirit Rock is the highest point within the resort, providing stunning views of the high desert and Cascade Mountains beyond. A round trip hike takes about an hour and is a moderate hike. Insider tip—Spirit Rock is one of the most beautiful locations from which to enjoy one of Brasada Ranch’s famous sunsets.
